Program Overview U.S. Wealth Management professionals serve individual investors and small-to-medium size corporations and institutions with an emphasis on affluent and high net worth investors. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's network of Financial Advisors and Wealth Advisors provide tailored solutions designed to address individual investment objectives, risk tolerance and liquidity needs. The Products & Strategy Analyst Program is a competitive 24-month program that consists of three eight-month rotations. The rotational aspect of the program consists of positions in our various home office groups that build and provide products and services to our Financial Advisors and Wealth Advisors across the U.S. The Analyst program kicks off in early July with a comprehensive orientation and training program designed to help Analysts become acclimated to the firm. Following orientation and training, Analysts begin the rotational program with placements in Purchase, NY; New York, NY; and Jersey City, NJ. This competitive program offers a rotational Analyst an unprecedented level of exposure to these financial products and services. Rotation placements are in areas such as: Investment Products: Equities, Options, Fixed Income Securities, Structured Products, Alternative Investments, Global Advisory Research & Strategy, Mutual Funds, and Annuities & Insurance Marketing & the Client Experience: Financial Planning and Wealth Solutions, Retirement & Equity Solutions Retail Banking: Banking & Lending Products, Residential Mortgages, Cash Management Services, and Business Cash Management U.S. Wealth Management Administration: Business Management, Field Management, Branding, Strategy and Planning Developing Your Career High-performing Analysts can anticipate placement in a variety of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney roles including product groups and strategic functions. The experience may also include an opportunity to gain exposure to both corporate and branch-related activities. Senior management takes a keen interest in your progress as an Analyst, and will look to you for fresh perspectives and new ideas. Requirements Requirements include an undergraduate degree with a relevant major such as business or economics, a minimum 3.2 GPA, and a keen interest in the financial services industry. A resume that shows work experience in a related field is also required. Selection Process Depending on your school, interviews may take place on campus or at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Interviews are conducted by senior managers, former Analyst Program participants, and Human Resources. Successful candidates can expect two to three rounds of interviews.
