Sales & Trading - North America
An overview of this program’s objectives and how you can benefit Morgan Stanley's Sales & Trading Analyst classes are treated as a top priority because we know they will produce the future generation of leaders for the firm. The Analyst Program provides candidates with an opportunity to develop and master the analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills needed for a rewarding career within our Fixed Income and Institutional Equities divisions. The division's flat organizational structure and open trading floor allow Analysts opportunities to collaborate with successful industry professionals in a fast paced and intense environment requiring an aptitude for analyzing and interpreting often complex information in a timely manner. The Analyst Programs in Sales & Trading Morgan Stanley's Sales & Trading division has a two-year direct placement Analyst Program in either the Fixed Income or Institutional Equity Division. Many of our outstanding Analysts are asked to stay on to continue a full career at Morgan Stanley. Within Fixed Income or Institutional Equities, the following roles exist for Analysts joining the program:
Launching Your Career Morgan Stanley is committed to helping our new Analysts develop professionally starting with their orientation. All new Analysts participate in an intensive Firmwide Orientation program which covers the firm's businesses, the transition from the academic to the corporate world, and provides opportunities for establishing a network across businesses throughout the Firm globally. Sales and Trading Analysts then attend divisional specific training where they learn core skills required to be successful on the job. The curriculum includes daily market updates, accounting, credit risk analysis, business overview speaker series, fundamental and advanced product and technical training, and registration preparation. In addition, Analysts have several opportunities to network with peers, mentors, and senior managers through teambuilding sessions and other organized events. Analysts will also receive on-the-job coaching and participate in a performance review process. Developing Your Career Morgan Stanley is committed to developing our next generation of leaders, so when an Analyst joins the firm, he or she becomes part of the team with an important role. As a result, many of our outstanding Analysts are asked to stay on and continue their careers at Morgan Stanley. We believe in mentoring programs to support career growth. Analysts are assigned a mentor to help ease their transition from academia to the corporate environment. Mentors can provide career guidance, serve as a sounding board, and connect Analysts to the broader Morgan Stanley network. Mobility is an important part of building a Morgan Stanley career, and after the two-year program, Analysts are encouraged to consider opportunities across the division or the Firm.
